Tehran - Iranian engineers have developed the country’s first fully domestic food-service robots - advanced vending systems capable of operating 24 hours a day to sell a wide range of food and plant-based products.

 

Arash Fathi, one of the leading figures behind the project, said the machines are the product of “round-the-clock effort by Iranian specialists.” The team aimed, he noted, not only to match foreign models but to exceed them in performance, reliability and efficiency.

 

“One of our smart robots can prepare eight different coffee-based beverages entirely on its own—without any human intervention,” he explained.

 

He acknowledged that moving from concept to production posed significant challenges, but stressed that “despite the hurdles, bringing these systems to life has proven well worth the effort.”

 

Developers say every element of these robots - from hardware to software - has been designed and manufactured inside Iran. They describe the achievement as a major milestone for strengthening national capacity in the smart-technology and automation industries.
