Khorasan Razavi — Green bell peppers produced in the modern greenhouses of Fariman County, in Khorasan Razavi province, are successfully entering international markets, including the United Arab Emirates, according to a provincial official.

 

Ali Kazemi Farimani, Director of the Fariman County Agricultural Organization, said green bell peppers are among the most valuable and widely consumed items in the food baskets of Iranian households as well as neighboring countries.

 

He noted that in recent years the crop has gained a strong foothold not only in domestic markets but also in export destinations.

 

Highlighting local success stories, the official said that Mr. Behzadian, a leading greenhouse farmer in Fariman, is exporting high-quality bell peppers to countries in the Persian Gulf region, demonstrating the competitiveness of Iranian greenhouse-grown produce.

 

Kazemi Farimani emphasized that the expansion of agricultural exports - particularly greenhouse vegetables - offers a strategic opportunity to penetrate global markets, generate added value, and present Iran’s capabilities in sustainable and resource-efficient agriculture.
