Iran marks National Export Day

Terhan - On National Export Day (October 20), Iran celebrates the dedication of its farmers and exporters who have strengthened the country’s non-oil economy by producing world-class agricultural goods. Agriculture remains a cornerstone of Iran’s food security, sustainable development, and foreign exchange earnings.

According to data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, agricultural and food industries account for a major share of non-oil exports. Leading products such as pistachios (worth over $1.2 billion), saffron (with Iran producing more than 90% of global supply), dates, raisins, fruits, fishery, and dairy products have positioned Iran as a key player in international markets.

Digital media now plays a pivotal role in promoting “Brand Iran.” High-quality visuals of saffron fields, pistachio orchards, and modern packaging facilities project a reliable and competitive image of Iranian agriculture. Social media and B2B platforms also enable direct marketing, connecting exporters with global buyers and reducing intermediaries.

By showcasing compliance with global standards such as ISO, HACCP, and organic certification, Iran can assure international customers of its product quality and safety.

In today’s global economy, visibility is power. Through smart digital engagement and storytelling, Iran’s agricultural sector can expand its global presence, enhance trust, and open new markets for Made-in-Iran excellence.
