Iran agriculture minister calls for removing US dollar in
mutual trade with Kyrgyzstan
The Iranian Minister of Agriculture and the Kyrgyz Minister
of Economy and Commerce discussed ways to remove the US dollar from their
bilateral trade and launch a settlement system to use their national currencies
in trade exchanges.
In a meeting with Daniyar Amangeldiev on the sidelines of
the 13th Iran-Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Committee meeting in Bishkek, Mohammad
Ali Nikbackt emphasized the use of the national currencies of the two countries
in trade exchanges.
Amangeldiev, for his part, said that the two countries’
joint economic committee is a very good opportunity to strengthen bilateral
relations and it will have good results in the commercial and economic field.
The 13th Iran-Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Committee meeting
kicked off in the Kyrgyz capital on October 19 and will come to an end on
October 21.
The 12th Iran-Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Committee meeting
was held in Tehran in early December 2019.
