Tehran – Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri addressed a press conference attended by both domestic and international media outlets.

 

During the presser on Tuesday, Nouri outlined the government's commitment to eradicating corruption and dismantling monopolies within the agricultural sector. 

 

He emphasized the pivotal role of expanded electronic systems in enhancing transparency and accountability across the sector.

 

Addressing the critical issue of energy supply, the minister said that his ministry is actively collaborating with the Ministries of Energy and Oil to minimize disruptions in power and gas supply to agricultural units. 

 

He further assured the public that the agricultural sector would receive the lowest priority for any potential energy rationing, underscoring its critical role in national food security.

 

Despite facing economic and geopolitical challenges, Nouri highlighted the relative stability of the agricultural sector, particularly in ensuring the consistent supply of essential commodities.
