Iran, Turkey sign
several agricultural cooperation agreements
Iran and Turkey signed
several agricultural cooperation agreements during the eighth meeting of the
Iran-Turkey Supreme Council of Cooperation.
The agreements, which
were signed by Iranian Minister of Agriculture Mohammad Ali Nikbakht and
Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirişci, cover a range of
areas, including trade, technical issues, education, and science.
The agreements aim to
boost trade in agricultural products between the two countries. They include
provisions for the establishment of a joint trade committee, the promotion of
exports and imports of agricultural products, and the facilitation of customs
procedures.
Iranian President Ebrahim
Raeisi and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday oversaw in
Ankara the signing of 10 joint cooperation documents in various fields
including culture, media and communication, rail and air transportation,
electricity, energy, economic and free trade zones.
