Iran,
Kazakhstan strengthen ties with veterinary cooperation deal
Iran and
Kazakhstan have forged a new partnership to bolster cooperation in veterinary
medicine, aiming to streamline trade and safeguard animal health. The two countries
signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during a virtual meeting between
Deputy Ministers of Agriculture.
High on the
agenda was resolving health and hygiene concerns surrounding the import of
Kazakh red meat and the export of Iranian dairy products. Deputy Minister
Mojtaba Norouzi of Iran emphasized the need to address these issues to unlock
the full potential of bilateral trade. His counterpart, Imam Quli Bradley of
Kazakhstan, reciprocated by stressing the importance of streamlining dairy product
exports to Iran.
The MoU
signifies a commitment from both nations to enhance their collaboration in
veterinary medicine. Recognizing the potential benefits, the head of Iran's
Veterinary Medicine Organization called for further cooperation, particularly
in removing obstacles hindering trade, especially in the dairy sector.
This
strengthened veterinary partnership promises to benefit both Iran and
Kazakhstan. By addressing health concerns and facilitating trade, the MoU paves
the way for increased economic opportunities and improved animal welfare in
both countries.
The
agreement highlights the growing importance of regional cooperation in ensuring
food safety and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
