Tehran - Hormozgan Southern Province has emerged as Iran’s leading mango producer, recording a harvest of 30,000 tons this season. The province’s success is rooted in 2,800 hectares of mango orchards, primarily located in Minab, Rudan, and Bandar Abbas.

 

Targeted support measures—including orchard renewal programs, subsidized seedlings, and the development of high-density net-houses—have played a key role in boosting output and quality.

 

Officials noted that around 60 percent of Hormozgan’s mango harvest is supplied to processing industries, highlighting the province’s strong potential for expanding value-added agro-industrial activities.
