Formation of National Olive Waste Management in Iran
According to the information center of the ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, quoted by IRNA, Seyyed Rahmatolah Parichehr, announcing that
national olive waste management in Iran has been formed, told: this working
group was formed to investigate the effluent status of olive oil factories and
olive processing plants in the country. He also added that: providing local,
efficient and economically viable solutions was one of the goals of this group.

Parichehr also
mentioned that recycling water in the process of canned oil production is
another goal of the team, and added that it draws attention and care to
sustainable development and the environment.
Olive’s project manager has added: taking benefit of added
value derived from the extraction of some valuable materials such as
polyphenols and the use of olive pomace for other uses, were other reasons for
forming this working group.
