Tehran – The Iranian Minister of Agriculture said the country's food supply remains secure despite wartime conditions, stressing that the government will not allow any disruption to the provision of essential goods.

Speaking at a meeting of the ministry's deputy ministers on Monday, Gholamreza Nouri said strategic reserves of essential commodities remain at satisfactory levels thanks to advance planning, and supplies to the domestic market will continue uninterrupted.

He acknowledged that the conflict has disrupted some maritime trade routes, particularly in the Persian Gulf, but said government agencies are working around the clock to ensure the steady import of essential goods and agricultural inputs.

Describing food security as the government's "red line," Nouri said the sector "cannot be shut down, rationed, or subjected to quotas under any circumstances," emphasizing that Iran relies primarily on domestic production while continuing targeted imports of key commodities.
