Flaked grain processing plant opens in Qom province
Qom - A new flaked grain processing plant operated by Rouzamad Livestock and Poultry Feed Production Company has been officially inaugurated in Iran’s Qom Province, located 125 kilometers south of Tehran, coinciding with the Ten-Day Dawn (Fajr) celebrations.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the National Land Affairs Organization, along with senior provincial and national officials.
Speaking at the event, the Head of the National Land Affairs Organization underscored the strategic importance of expanding agricultural projects and agro-processing industries, noting their vital role in stimulating regional economic growth, reducing post-harvest losses, and increasing incomes for livestock farmers.
Davar Namdar described the project as a concrete step toward advancing the goals of the resistance economy and ensuring the efficient use of domestic resources and production capacities.
The plant has been launched with the objective of increasing value added in agricultural products and strengthening agro-processing industries in the region. It is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for 86 local residents.
Equipped with modern processing technologies, the facility is capable of producing a variety of high-quality flaked grains for animal feed. In addition to meeting part of domestic demand, the project is anticipated to create opportunities for exporting these products to international markets.
