Tehran - A senior official from the Ministry of Agriculture affirmed the high quality of domestically produced wheat, emphasizing its strategic role in safeguarding the country’s food security.

 

Majid Anjafi, Deputy Minister for Crop Production, said Kurdistan Province possesses significant untapped potential for agricultural growth and stressed the need for effective utilization of these resources.

 

He noted that expanding oilseed cultivation remains a top sectoral priority, adding that the ministry has introduced targeted policies to increase farmers’ interest and participation in producing these crops.

 

Anjafi reiterated that Iranian-grown wheat meets very high quality standards and stated that the guaranteed purchase price for the 2026 crop year has been determined based on comprehensive expert evaluations and scientific evidence.
