Iran's cow population reached 5.48 million in the first nine months of 2023, marking a 2.2% increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Statistical Center of Iran (SCI).
The number of calves born during this time also saw a significant jump of 22%, indicating a healthy reproductive rate within the herd, the SCI said.
