Bushehr exports over 21,000 tons of aquatic products to 18 countries

Bushehr – The Bushehr Province Veterinary Department reported that 21,126 tons of seafood products passed health and quarantine inspections in the past year before being exported to 18 countries.
According to the Director-General of Veterinary Medicine, the exported products from the southwestern province included 13,501 tons of farmed shrimp and 7,447 tons of marine fish, all processed under strict veterinary supervision.
The shipments reached key global markets, including the European Union (Estonia), Russia, China, Persian Gulf Arab states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE), as well as Malaysia, Turkey, Armenia, Thailand, South Korea, Lebanon, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
The exports generated $80 million in foreign currency earnings for Iran, reinforcing the region’s role in the international seafood trade.
