1st Iran-Turkey Apitherapy Symposium Held
The first Iran-Turkey Joint Apitherapy Symposium was held at Razi Vaccine
and Serum Research Institute’s Mirshamsi Conference Hall in Tehran.
The symposium was held in Iranian capital on October25-26 with Ali Timucin
Atayoglu, the president of the International Federation of Apitherapy (IFA), in
attendance, Mojtaba Moharrami, the head of Iran’s Bee and Silkworm Diseases
Department, said.
He added that international experts from Turkey, the UK, Germany, and
Romania were also present at the function.
The symposium covered a range of topics, including principles of clinical
studies in Apitherapy, pre-clinical studies in Apitherapy, food safety in
Apitherapy products, fermented bee products in bee therapy, ethical issues in
Apitherapy, Technology in Apitherapy products, and quality criteria of products
for Apitherapy.
