Tehran- Iran’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Head of the Iran Fisheries Organization (IFO) announced the inauguration of 153 fisheries projects across 23 provinces during Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) ceremonies.

 

According to the organization’s Public Relations Office, Hamzeh Rostampour said the projects were implemented with a total investment of 29,910 billion rials.

 

He added that the initiatives will directly benefit 3,408 households and increase the country’s aquaculture output by 6,738 tons, as well as nearly 16 million units of various aquatic species.

 

This year, Ten-Day Dawn (Fajr Decade) celebrations mark the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
