150 tons of fresh dates harvested in Fars Province: Official
Zarrin Dasht — The date harvest season is underway in Zarrin Dasht, Fars Province, with 150 tons of fresh dates already making their way to local markets, offering a flavorful prelude to the summer season.
According to Mehdi Yousefi, Director of the Agricultural Organization in Zarrin Dasht, harvesting has begun across 350 hectares of productive palm groves in the region.
Projections indicate that by the end of October, a total of 1,300 tons of dates and fresh dates will be harvested, with fresh dates accounting for approximately 150 tons of the yield.
Zarrin Dasht is known for cultivating several high-quality date varieties, including Shahani, Khasooyi, and Piyarom. Thanks to reduced pesticide usage, the dates produced in this region are renowned for their superior taste and quality.
