Razi Institute to unveil 4 new veterinary vaccines
East Azarbaijan – The Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute’s Branch in Marand County, northwestern East Azarbaijan province, is set to introduce four new strategic vaccines for livestock and poultry in the near future, according to branch director Razzaq Hosseinpour.
Speaking at a provincial agricultural meeting, Hosseinpour highlighted the institute’s critical role in producing biological products for human and animal health.
He noted that the Marand-based branch, active for over three decades, is currently developing multivalent and trivalent vaccines, along with others targeting major poultry diseases.
“With a production capacity of around 400 million doses annually, the branch aims to strengthen domestic supply and reduce reliance on imports. The new products are part of a broader effort to expand Iran’s self-sufficiency in veterinary biologics.”
