Tehran—The Iranian Minister of Agriculture said his Ministry is planning to identify and boost investment opportunities in an effort to materialize this year’s slogan, as emphasized by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

 

Gholmreza Nouri emphasized the need to strengthen the agricultural sector and food security, saying, "We plan to identify investment opportunities in this field and introduce them to domestic and foreign investors so they can benefit from these prospects."

 

“We hope this year’s slogan will boost investment in agriculture,” he added.

 

"We intend to strengthen financial institutions such as the Agricultural Bank and the Agricultural Investment Support Fund by making them more productive,” the Minister said.

 

"We are working to develop the agricultural sector and the country’s food security by implementing this year’s slogan."

 

"The first step taken by the Ministry of Agriculture was identifying and addressing existing obstacles in this sector. We have requested relevant departments and organizations to remove these barriers. If necessary, regulations and directives will be amended, and proposals for legal changes will be submitted."

 

This came after Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei felicitated the Iranian nation on the occasion of Nowruz and called for “Investments for Production” in his New Year message. The Leader introduced "Investments for Production” as this year’s slogan.
