Timely spraying of farms essential to combat wheat diseases, official stresses 

 

Iranian Deputy Agriculture Minister Alireza Mohajer emphasized the need for timely spraying of farms to combat wheat diseases.

"Some of our farms in warm and temperate regions such as Khuzestan, Ilam, and especially the provinces of Golestan, Mazandaran and North Khorasan have been attacked by yellow rust disease and various wheat diseases,” Mohajer said.

Emphasizing the need for the timely spraying of farms, he said, "We hope that farmers would give heed to the guidelines of experts and that small-scale farms will be sprayed against wheat diseases by farmers so that we can achieve self-sufficiency in wheat production."
