Tehran - Iran has exported 11,000 tons of tea in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-February 18), according to the Head of Iran's Tea Organization (ITO) Habib Jahansaz.

 

Some 11,000 tons of Iranian tea, valued $15 million, were exported during the mentioned eleven months to neighboring countries and Europe, with Russia and India as key markets, Jahansaz said. 

 

He added the tea's pesticide-free cultivation gives it a competitive edge in the global market, highlighting a successful model for non-oil export diversification.
