Andimeshk – The harvest of export-quality strawberries has begun in the city of Andimeshk, located in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, Iran.

 

According to Mohammad-Jafar Afarin, a local agricultural official, the strawberries grown in Andimeshk's farms and greenhouses are of exceptional quality, giving them a competitive edge in international markets.

 

Over 1.5 hectares of greenhouses and half a hectare of open-field farms in Andimeshk are dedicated to strawberry cultivation, he added.

 

“With the use of mechanized farming, proper maintenance, and scientific fertilization, it is estimated that over 100 tons of strawberries will be harvested from these farms and exported.”

 

Andimeshk's strawberry production is exclusively geared towards international markets, with shipments destined for discerning consumers in the Persian Gulf region and Eurasian countries. These strawberries have established a renowned reputation and secured a prominent position in these competitive markets, underscoring the region's commitment to delivering top-tier agricultural products.
