Tehran – The Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute has officially launched its Vaccine Technology Ecosystem Tower, a pivotal and future-oriented project designed to serve as the central intelligence and strategic driver of Iran's national vaccine industry.

The announcement was made last week by Seyed Reza Bani-Hashemi, head of the National Technology Tower Project Committee.

He spoke to reporters from the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture's Public Relations Office on the sidelines of a collaborative session focused on the structure and development of the "Vaccine Industry Ecosystem Technology Tower."

Bani Hashemi explained that the technology tower is envisioned as the intellectual powerhouse and guiding authority for the country's entire vaccine industry ecosystem.

He stressed that its influence will extend beyond individual organizations or institutions, shaping the direction and defining the character of the national vaccine landscape as a whole.

Furthermore, he noted that the center will act as the definitive technological identifier for Iran's vaccine sector, creating a vital platform to streamline cooperation between private and public entities.

“This collaborative environment aims to facilitate access to cutting-edge equipment and foster scientific

relationships with globally recognized centers, ultimately cultivating an optimal setting for education, talent acquisition, and the advancement of novel technologies.”

According to Bani Hashemi, the tower is expected to play a critical role in addressing health emergencies, including pandemics like COVID-19.
