Tehran - The Razi Institute for Vaccine and Serum Research has joined the World Health Organization’s (WHO) sixth virtual cGMP Training Marathon on vaccine production.

 

Announcing the participation, Dr. Soheila Moradi said the Institute’s involvement reflects its commitment to strengthening specialized expertise and aligning its vaccine production practices with international standards.

 

The global training initiative, organized by WHO’s Local Production and Assistance (LPA) unit under the theme “Building Blocks for Growth and Sustainable Development”, will go on until held on October 2 and is designed to promote a strong culture of quality and full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices(cGMP).

 

“This year’s program, building on the success of five previous editions, covers the latest methodologies and practical tools in pharmaceutical and vaccine production,” Dr. Moradi explained.

 

 “Key areas include lifecycle quality systems, technology transfer optimization, data integrity, cleaning validation, contamination control, cold chain management, aseptic processing, supplier evaluation, and sterility assurance.”

 

She emphasized that the main objective of the marathon is to help manufacturers achieve sustainable compliance with cGMP while enhancing the professional capabilities of the workforce in the biopharmaceutical and vaccine industries.

 

 “The training also supports continuous professional development, ensuring that technical expertise and global standards are consistently integrated into production processes,” she added.
