Tanzania – The Razi Institute, Iran’s premier vaccine research and production center, has solidified its international presence with a significant agreement to export its vaccines to Tanzania.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) was witnessed by Iran's Minister of Agriculture Gholamreza Nouri and Tanzania's Minister of Foreign Affairs January Makamba on October 19 in Dar es Salaam.

This strategic partnership marks a pivotal step in strengthening global cooperation in vaccine development and distribution. It comes on the heels of a successful visit by Tanzanian officials to Iran earlier this year, during which they expressed a strong interest in the Razi Institute's innovative products.

Nouri – who had traveled to Tanzania to attend the two countries’ fifth Joint Economic Committee meeting- finalized 11 documents in various areas of the governmental and private sectors during his stay in the East African country.

Addressing the signing ceremony, he highlighted Iran's scientific excellence in producing biological products and reaffirmed the country's commitment to exporting vaccines and advancing scientific collaboration with Tanzania.

The Razi Institute, a distinguished subsidiary of the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture, is renowned for its cutting-edge research and production of vaccines and other essential biological products for both human and animal health.

This new agreement with Tanzania is poised to significantly expand the institute's global reach and contribute to improving public health outcomes in the African nation.
