President issues decree to revive Iran fisheries industry

Tehran - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued five key directives aimed at revitalizing Iran's fisheries and aquaculture industry.
In a recent meeting focused on marine development, the President emphasized the critical role of expanding regional and international markets for the sector's growth.
"Maritime trade is essential for our nation's food security," President Pezeshkian said. "Access to global markets must be a top priority for our fisheries industry."
The President outlined several key benefits of a thriving fisheries sector, including the creation of sustainable employment opportunities, the stimulation of scientific research among students, and the preservation of vital marine ecosystems.
He also stressed the importance of inter-agency collaboration to address the challenges facing the industry's development.
