Over 80 countries destinations of Iranian dates

Tehran - Iran has shipped over 194,000 tons of dates out to over 80 countries worldwide, according to the Deputy Minister of Horticulture at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Mohammad Mahdi Boroumandi announced that in the first eight months of this year, 194,000 tons of dates worth 175 million dollars were exported from key date-producing provinces across Iran.
According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, the total date exports last year reached 390,000 tons, generating a substantial 346 million dollars in foreign exchange.
Sistan and Baluchestan province, a leading date producer in Iran, cultivated over 320,000 tons of dates on 51,000 hectares of land in 2023. A portion of this significant output is exported to international markets.
