During the past Iranian calendar year (March 2023 - March 2024), the government exported approximately eight million tons of agricultural products, representing a 23% increase in terms of volume compared to the previous year, according to the Minister of Agriculture. 

“This remarkable growth translates to an estimated $6 billion worth of agricultural exports to neighboring countries,” Mohammad Ali Nikbakht added in a recent televised interview.

He highlighted the significant strides made in the agricultural sector, emphasizing the country's transformation from a net importer to an exporter of aquatic feed. 

“Iran currently exports aquatic feed to ten countries worldwide,” the minister stressed.

Nikbakht further emphasized the substantial contribution of greenhouse products to Iran's agricultural exports, demonstrating the sector's diversification and potential for further growth.

This remarkable progress in the agricultural sector underscores the government's commitment to enhancing domestic production and expanding export opportunities, positioning Iran as a key player in the global agricultural landscape.
