Moscow – Iran’s Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri said agriculture and food security are cornerstones for a strong agricultural and economic cooperation between Iran and Russia.  
 
“An agreement has been reached to establish Iran-Russia Joint Agricultural Cooperation Committee. Besides, a technical and high-profile delegation will travel to Tehran soon to address animal and plant quarantine issues. Agriculture and food security are crucial for a strong economic relationship between the two countries,” Nouri, who is accompanying Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on his Russia trip, said in a message posted on his X media platform early on Friday.
 
It came after the Iranian president held talks with his Russian counterpart Oksana Lut in Moscow.
