Mazandaran registers two-fold rise in Kiwi exports

Mazandaran – The northern Mazandaran Province has witnessed a significant surge in kiwi exports this year, driven by a twofold increase in production, according to a provincial official.

Hamid Naderian, Director of Plant Protection Department in the province, told Fars News Agency that kiwi exports from Mazandaran began on September 28 and have been progressing strongly since.

He attributed this success to the dedication of local growers and enhanced orchard management practices, noting that Mazandaran kiwis are now being exported to India, various Asian destinations, and Eurasian markets.

Naderian explained that the issuance of quarantine certificates required for export is currently underway at Noshahr and Amirabad ports, as well as through the provincial offices of the Agricultural Jihad Organization.

He added that mandarin exports, which started on September 22, are ongoing, while early orange exports will begin on October 22, followed by Thomson oranges on November 5.

Naderian expressed optimism that citrus exports would also experience growth this season.
