Mazandaran has emerged as Iran’s leading dairy exporter, shipping over 20,000 tons of dairy products to 25 countries in just three months, according to an official with the northern province’s customs office.

 

More than 20,125 tons of dairy products were exported from the customs offices of Amol and Sari in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to June 22, 2024), Amir Jamshidi highlighted, Tasnim news agency reported.

 

The province’s customs office secured the second-highest rank among Iran’s 56 customs offices during this period in the export of dairy products in terms of weight.

 

Worth over $28 million, these dairy products were exported to countries including Iraq, the UAE, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Japan, Turkmenistan, Thailand, and Pakistan.
