Iranian experts attend international forestry cooperation seminar in China
A team of eight Iranian natural resources experts led by Dr. Seyed Nasser Emadi, advisor to the president of the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization, participated in the International Forestry Cooperation Seminar in China.
The seminar, which was held from June 17 to July 8, 2024, aimed to exchange knowledge and experiences in the field of natural resources and forestry management.
The Iranian experts attended lectures and presentations on new and innovative methods and technologies in forestry and natural resources. They also had the opportunity to share their own experiences with experts from other countries.
"This seminar was an excellent opportunity to strengthen international cooperation and enhance our knowledge in the field of forest conservation, utilization and sustainable development," said Dr. Emadi.
In addition to attending the seminar, the Iranian team also visited the Yuntashan National Geopark, the Yuzhou Forest Botanical National Park, the Wisteria Production and Research and Extension Center, nurseries and model afforestation and forest seedling production projects.
Dr. Emadi noted that the Iranian team was very active in the seminar. Ehsan Ranjbar, a member of the Iranian team, gave the closing speech and thanked the organizers of the seminar on behalf of all participating countries.
The Iranian team's visit to China was part of an effort to strengthen and expand technical cooperation and share new technologies and indigenous knowledge. The team also aimed to learn about best practices in various natural resources fields.
The seminar was attended by experts from seven countries, including Fiji, Thailand, Romania, Egypt, Nepal, Ethiopia and Iran.
