Hormozgan – Iran's Fisheries Organization has announced plans to equip every fishing port nationwide with firefighting vessels as part of a major infrastructure modernization initiative.

During an inspection tour of Hormozgan Province, the country's maritime activity hub, Ataollah Raisi, Deputy Director of Fishing and Ports, outlined the plan.

"Hormozgan exemplifies excellence in sustainable fisheries," Raisi said, highlighting fishermen's dual role in "maintaining food security and protecting our southern maritime borders."

"We require dedicated budgetary support to advance sustainable fishing practices while upgrading port safety and services."

The official expressed confidence that "with government funding and private sector collaboration, we can achieve transformative progress in this vital sector."
