After a voting, 253 out of 288 lawmakers voted for Nouri-Ghezeljeh to be the next minister of agriculture.

Nouri-Ghezeljeh was born in 1970 in Ghezeljeh, East Azarbaijan Province, Iran. After completing his primary education in his hometown, he attended an agricultural high school in Tabriz. In 1987, he began his university studies.

With his master's degree in Agricultural Management, he served as the head of the committee for enhancing professional capabilities and organizing employment in the province, concurrently working as a senior specialist at the provincial agriculture organization.

In the 2012 parliamentary elections, Nouri was elected as the representative of Bostan Abad in the 9th Islamic Consultative Assembly. After the end of his ninth term, he was appointed as an advisor and deputy to the Minister of Agriculture. Subsequently, he served as the deputy for communications in the Speaker's office and then as the executive deputy of the Parliament Speaker until the beginning of the 11th term.

Nouri registered for the 11th parliamentary elections and was re-elected, once again gaining the trust of the people. In the most recent elections, he secured his third term as a representative in the 12th Islamic Consultative Assembly with the support of the people of East Azarbaijan.

Throughout his three terms as a member of parliament, Nouri has consistently been a member of the specialized agriculture, water, and natural resources committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
