Tehran – The Minister of Agriculture has announced the establishment of a new organization within the Ministry of Agriculture, dedicated to the development, progress, and prosperity of rural and nomadic areas.

Gholamreza Nouri highlighted the need for a fundamental overhaul of the Ministry's structure, saying, “As part of this restructuring, a new organization will be created to focus on policymaking, planning, budgeting, and feedback mechanisms for rural and nomadic development.”

He further emphasized the importance of strengthening the Ministry's extension services to effectively transfer knowledge, skills, and technology to rural communities and small-scale production units.

The ultimate goal is to enhance food security and improve the livelihoods of small-scale agricultural producers.

This initiative is in line with higher-level laws and the Seventh Development Plan.
