Iran agriculture minister pledges support for Zanzibar agricultural development

Zanzibar – Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri, during his recent visit to Tanzania, met with the President of the semi-autonomous region of Zanzibar to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation.
The meeting focused on strengthening existing agricultural partnerships and exploring opportunities for Iran to share its expertise with Zanzibar.
Nouri conveyed greetings from Iran's President, Masoud Pezeshkian, and reiterated Iran's commitment to fostering stronger ties with African nations.
He emphasized the importance of agricultural collaboration and expressed hope that the signed agreements would pave the way for increased trade and investment between Iran, Tanzania, and Zanzibar.
Recognizing Zanzibar's agricultural potential, Nouri pledged Iran's support for developing agricultural projects in the region. This includes sharing knowledge, technology, and investment opportunities to help Zanzibar boost its agricultural productivity and exports.
