Tehran - Iran has achieved a remarkable 98% self-sufficiency in seed and seedling production.

 

Seeds play a key role in agricultural productivity and food security and can help increase yields by at least 30%.

 

Therefore, Iran has attached great importance to boosting seed quality in efforts to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving agricultural landscape.

 

To that end, the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture recently established a dedicated Seed and Seedling Headquarters to boost innovation, and ensure the continued availability of high-quality seeds for Iranian farmers.
