Iran, Azerbaijan agree to enhance agricultural ties, form joint committee

Tehran – Iran and Azerbaijan have agreed to establish a joint committee for agricultural cooperation within the next month, aiming to bolster bilateral ties in the sector.
The agreement followed a phone conversation between Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Majnun Gadir oglu Mammadov on Tuesday.
Nouri emphasized Iran's commitment to expanding cooperation in scientific research, increasing agricultural trade volumes, and streamlining the transit of agricultural goods.
Both ministers concurred that the newly formed committee will be tasked with drafting and signing foundational agreements across various agricultural domains, with a focus on facilitating trade between the two countries.
