Govt urges Iranian firms to launch overseas extraterritorial cultivation projects
The Iranian Ministry of Agriculture has called on domestic companies to cooperate with Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Pakistan, Venezuela and African nations for extraterritorial cultivation, according to the Ministry's extraterrestrial cultivation project manager.
“Limited domestic resources have prompted the Ministry to pursue extraterrestrial cultivation,” according to Reza Fotoohi.
He added that this initiative will not only expand agricultural output but also open doors for Iranian investors to participate in overseas agricultural projects.
"Food security is the cornerstone of the agricultural sector, and we must strive to achieve it with the active participation of our people," emphasized.
Extraterrestrial cultivation, he explained, represents a form of collaboration between Iranian investors and foreign countries. “The government intends to facilitate this partnership by assisting Iranian investors in establishing agricultural ventures in countries with which Iran has signed memorandums of understanding.”
"Both domestic and international companies can engage in extraterrestrial cultivation in vast territories across countries like Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Pakistan, and African nations such as Tanzania, as well as Venezuela in the Americas," the official elaborated.
"By implementing extraterrestrial cultivation, we can not only meet domestic demand for certain products but also make them available to the public at more affordable prices," he added.
