Farmers should be at forefront of agricultural policy, minister says

Tabriz, Iran - The newly appointed Iranian Minister of Agriculture, Gholam-Reza Nouri, has emphasized a farmer-centric approach as the top priority for the Ministry in the 14th government.
In remarks on Friday during a recent visit to his hometown of Bostanabad, Nouri expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by the people of Iran and Bostanabad in the presidential elections. He also highlighted the significance of the cabinet's formation, emphasizing the importance of unity, cooperation, and development for the country.
The Minister outlined his plans for the Ministry, stating that farmers and agricultural production will be at the heart of all policies. He assured farmers that their needs and concerns will be given top priority, and that the Ministry will work closely with them to promote agricultural growth.
Addressing the region's water shortage, Nouri highlighted ongoing efforts to transfer water from the Kalgān Dam for drinking and sanitation purposes. He pledged to continue working towards the completion of this project and resolving the water scarcity issue in the county.
Nouri concluded his visit by thanking the people of Bostanabad for their support and cooperation throughout his tenure as their representative. He expressed his commitment to serving the people and requested their continued prayers and support.
