Tehran - Iran's domestic production of agricultural machinery has surged by 10% in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 20 - October 21), compared to the same period last year.

 

Abouzar Jamshidvand, a senior official at the Ministry of Industry, Mining, and Trade, attributed this growth to government policies supporting domestic manufacturers. 

 

He highlighted the significant increase in tractor and combine harvester production, which has led to a corresponding rise in exports of certain agricultural machinery.

 

Specific figures indicate that tractor production increased from 19,000 units to over 21,000 units, while combine harvester production rose from 395 units to 430 units during the given period.

 

Jamshidvand emphasized the crucial role of timely financial support in accelerating the mechanization of agriculture. He stressed that prompt loan disbursement would empower farmers to adopt modern machinery, further boosting the agricultural machinery sector.
