The advisor to the Minister of Agriculture for Women's Affairs said nearly 11 million rural and nomadic women in the country play an irreplaceable role in the country’s food production and security.
Maryam Tahmasebi, director general of the Office of Development of Agricultural Activities of Rural and Nomadic Women, said, "The activity of the rural and nomadic women's community and women working in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad is both remarkable in terms of quality and quantity."
She added, "Our society is moving towards reducing the differences between the social activities of men and women, and one of our goals and programs is to change the mindset so that supporting the women's community is not because of gender, but because of their efficiency and capabilities."
The advisor to the Minister noted, "11 million rural and nomadic women play a key role in food production and food security, which should be considered in macro-planning."
