Minister calls for removal of all trade barriers between Iran, Russia

Moscow – Iranian Minister of Agriculture Gholamreza Nouri said the existing trade barriers regarding the entry of Iranian goods to the Russian market must be removed soon.
“Agriculture and food are among the most important priorities of the bilateral economic relations between Iran and Russia,” Nouri, accompanying Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on his Russia trip, said on Thursday.
Tehran and Moscow have the potential to expand their bilateral trade in a range of areas including, crop and horticulture, fisheries, forest and natural resource conservation, research, extension, and education, new technologies, seed and seedling improvement technology, and livestock breeding, he added.
Emphasizing the process and components of developing Iran's agricultural exports to Russia, Nouri stressed the need to form a joint agricultural cooperation committee between Iran and Russia and said that both sides should strive to remove obstacles to Iran's agricultural exports to Russia.
The Iranian minister made the remarks in a meeting with his Russian counterpart Oksana Lut.
