Dr. Fatemeh Zarea’n, the Head of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, has issued a message on the occasion of National Damask Rose and Rosewater Day

In the name of the Creator of beauty

Rosewater is as if with its flowing stream, everyone rejoices with its fragrance. The most hopeful spring month in the expanse of dear Iran is May, with its vast plains filled with greenery and the joy of blooming flowers. May is the month when the fragrance of rose and pure rosewater has been soothing the souls of the inhabitants of this land since ancient times.

Damask Rose and rosewater, in addition to their fragrance, are also food and medicine for the people of Iran, who produce 90% of the world's rosewater, and no home is without this divine blessing.

While commemorating the 20th of May, which has been named "National Damask Rose and Rosewater Day" in the official calendar of the country, I wish success and happiness to the activists in this agricultural and industrial field.
