Iran apple exports surge in seven month period

Tehran - Iran's agricultural exports have seen significant growth in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20 - October 21).
The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) reported that the country exported $124 million worth of apples during this period.
Overall, Iran's agricultural product exports increased by 28% in value and 16% in weight compared to the same period last year. The country exported 3.8 million tons of agricultural products worth $2.2 billion.
In the first half of the year (March 20 - September 21), Iran exported 3.2 million tons of agricultural products valued at $1.7 billion, representing a 26% increase in value and a 20% increase in weight year-over-year.
