Ground broken for advanced chemical complex in Lorestan

Lorestan – Construction of a new, state-of-the-art chemical complex has begun in the Lorestan Farming and Industry Industrial Park.
Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri presided over the groundbreaking ceremony during a visit to the province.
“This industry is one of the country's basic needs in the supply chain, especially in the field of phosphate chemical fertilizers,” he said.
The facility will produce two key chemicals: 50,000 tons of food-grade phosphoric acid annually and 300,000 tons of industrial nitric acid per year.
Officials expect the complex to significantly benefit related industries and stimulate regional economic growth.
The project aligns with broader industrial development initiatives aimed at bolstering domestic chemical production. It is also projected to create jobs and drive further economic expansion in Lorestan province.
