Iran agricultural exports flourish, surging 26 percent

Tehran – Iran's agricultural sector has experienced a significant boost, with exports soaring by 26% in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year.
This surge, as reported by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), highlights the growing competitiveness of Iran's agricultural products in global markets.
The country shipped a total of $1.7 billion worth of agricultural goods during this period, demonstrating a remarkable increase compared to the previous year.
This growth is attributed to a combination of factors, including increased demand for Iranian products, improved agricultural practices, and government initiatives to support the sector.
Key agricultural exports driving this surge include pistachios, tomatoes, watermelons, apples, and dates, which together accounted for a substantial portion of the total export value.
