Iran exporting livestock embryo, Minister says
Tehran – Iran has evolved from importing live livestock by air to exporting livestock embryos and is poised to become a poultry meat exporter, Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri said.
Addressing the Second International Livestock, Poultry, and Related Industries Exhibition in Tehran, Nouri described the livestock and poultry industry as one of Iran's most resilient and dynamic economic sectors, noting that it has safeguarded the country's food security and maintained uninterrupted supplies of essential food products despite challenges including conflict, drought, and sanctions.
He said the exhibition, featuring cutting-edge technologies, advanced machinery, productivity innovations, and top livestock breeds, reflects the sector's continued modernization and growing export potential, while praising producers and industry stakeholders for driving its progress.
