Tehran – on the occasion of Government Week (August 24-30)., a total of 2,335 infrastructure projects will be inaugurated across the country, according to a report by the public relations office of the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture.

 

These projects, which have received a combined investment of 202,943 billion rials, are expected to create direct employment for 29,699 individuals and indirect employment for 60,653, totaling over 90,352 job opportunities nationwide. Moreover, 262,219 households will benefit from these initiatives.

 

The report added that the water and soil sector leads in terms of the number of projects with 1,004, followed by horticulture and greenhouses with 252, and livestock production with 232.

 

In terms of total investment, the agricultural industries sector tops the list with 91,230.7 billion rials, followed by livestock production with 36,429.5 billion rials, and horticulture and greenhouses with 18,657 billion rials.

 

When ranked by province, the Ministry of Agriculture of Khorasan Razavi province takes the lead with 233 projects, followed by Sistan and Balouchestan province with 209 projects, and Semnan province with 135 projects.

 

In terms of total investment, Gilan province secured the first position with 19,966 billion rials, followed by West Azarbaijan province with 19,334 billion rials, and Khorasan Razavi province with 18,403 billion rials.
