The National Veterinary Organization, The Provincial
Government of West Azerbaijan and The Maku free zone have agreed thanks to
commercial corridors so that the exports and deports of red meat, livestock
inputs and medicine can increase in the north west region of Iran.

Quoted from the information database of the ministry of
agriculture, Iran’s head of the veterinary organization said: Due to this trilateral
agreement and with using customs capacities in the north west of Iran, we have
provided the necessary preparations for quarantine based context, imports,
better health monitoring and issuing the needed licenses to the Maku free zone
veterinary network.  

Doctor Alireza Rafiee Pour added: We also agreed with the
head of the Maku free zone so that we help develop their laboratories, have an
increase in their human force and quarantine area equipment’s. The goal is to provide
strategic inputs such as corn, red meat and raw materials of biological
products with the help of this important border.

In this meeting, The Provincial Government of West Azerbaijan
also said: This province is Iran’s passing gate to Europe, Turkey and Caucasus
and with the borders of this province we can provide very necessary needs of
our country.

In the continuation of this meeting, the managing director
of the Maku free zone said: This region is the biggest free zone of our country
which connects Iran to Europe, Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Caucasus
and other mid Asian countries by 2 borders.

Doctor Gholamreza Soleimani added: Developing the meat chain
is one of our priorities in this region and to do so we have to use the
commercial and customs capacities.
